Prophylax is a consumer-facing application available on web, providing interactive features related to chess, including AI-powered analysis and recommendations. The App is intended for users aged 16 years or older.
You must be at least 16 years old to use the App. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
You must create an account to use Prophylax. You agree to: Provide accurate and complete information Keep your account credentials secure Be responsible for all activity under your account
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if: You violate these Terms You misuse the App or harm other users We are required to do so by law You may stop using the App at any time by discontinuing use or deleting your account.
You retain ownership of the content you upload or share through the App ("User Content"), including text, images, games, and other data.
By uploading or sharing User Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, process, and display that content solely for the purpose of operating, improving, and providing the App. We may use User Content in aggregated or anonymized form for: Improving the service Analytics and research Product development We do not sell or reuse identifiable User Content for marketing without your consent.
You are solely responsible for your User Content and confirm that you have the necessary rights to upload and share it.
You agree not to: Violate laws or regulations Infringe intellectual property or privacy rights Harass, abuse, or harm others Post content that is hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, or otherwise inappropriate Attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or misuse the App Use the App in a way that interferes with its normal operation We reserve the right to review, remove, or restrict access to any User Content at our sole discretion, without prior notice. We may also issue warnings, temporarily suspend, or permanently terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we consider harmful to the community.
The App may provide AI-generated analysis, coaching, or recommendations, including chess evaluations and insights. You acknowledge and agree that: Such outputs are provided on a best-effort basis They may be inaccurate, incomplete, or incorrect They are not professional, authoritative, or guaranteed You should not rely on them for any serious, critical, or real-world decisions We make no warranties regarding the accuracy or usefulness of AI-generated outputs.
Prophylax is offered on a freemium basis. Some features require or will require a paid premium subscription.
Subscriptions are: Purchased through the Prophylax App Auto-renewing unless cancelled through the platform Billed according to the pricing shown at purchase
Refunds are handled exclusively by the platform (Dodo Payments) and are subject to their respective refund policies. We do not offer separate or additional refunds.
All rights to the App, including software, design, trademarks, and content (excluding User Content), are owned by Prophylax AS or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or exploit any part of the App except as permitted by these Terms.
Our processing of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, available at: prophylax.ai/privacy
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be: Uninterrupted Error-free Secure Fully accurate
To the maximum extent permitted by law: We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the last 12 months, or zero if you used the free version Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under French law.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you through the App or by other reasonable means. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of France. Any disputes shall be subject to the courts of France, unless mandatory consumer protection rules provide otherwise.
